I'm Pumped !!

Got the gun show in the morning and I just can't hardly contain myself. Doors open at 9am and I'll be right there chompin at the bit to get in. REALLY wanting to pick up a 22 rifle. Got my decision down to 3 models now, gonna be a long night here at Camp Bullseye. Thinking on a Marlin 795, Savage 64 or a Ruger 10 22. I know, I know get the Ruger cause you can get all kinds of goodies for it and it probably is the best of the 3 but I'll have to wait and see what they have. I really like the Marlin too, the Savage is probably my last choice but we'll see. The reason I ain't just went to Chinamart and got a new one is well....you know...don't really want a paper trail. I'm sure I would be happy with either one of the 3 but I'm really liking the Marlin, price mostly I guess. The Ruger is not much more and the Savage not much less so I guess I'm kinda taking the middle road. What are you guys and gals shooting now days in the 22lr line? I got plenty of BIG CAL. guns but am in need a small cal just for everyday use. I've had many a 22 rifle in my day, sold off most of the guns after the first divorce though and still buying them back over time. They were the only thing I had worth and thing at the time I could part with, had a bunch too. Got a bunch now but I always seem to want another one. A good 22 auto would be real handy around the farm too. The others are a little bit of an overkill for a crow or a rabbit ya know, not much left of 'em. Anyway, any thoughts either way on these guns. I'll be up bout all night waiting for daylight and the show so let me know what ya think. I'm listening.

This is Bullseye...OUT !!!

Bulls'
Ya can't go wrong with a 10/22.
If you're lucky enough to find one it's well worth the cost over cheaper ones.
Good luck and let us know what ya got.

The 10-22 is a fine choice since extended mags are readily available and the weapon is accurate, light, easy to modify and customize.
The Marlin is good, too, though not so popular or customizeable, it's accurate and possibly more reliable in operation than any other 'out there'.
Savage is probably the most accurate, though.
I like my 10-22 lots (cuz it looks like an M-1 carbine mostly) and use it most of all the .22s. It looks awesome with the Red Dot sight on it, too, though now it has an SKS 4X scope on it.

I'm curious as to how packed the show was and what products disappeared first.

You're lucky. Here in Kolorado you still have to do the paper work at a gun show. Keep up the great postings!
