Just got home from the gun show!!! Man they had the stuff too let me tell you, guns, ammo, kits and anything in between. The show was great. No Marlin 795's though and the Ruger 10 22's where selling for more than the new price at Wally's. I did find this little Marlin Model 60 that fit the bill for me. As soon as I saw it I knew it was the one. I had on just like when I was just a boy and will never forget it. I think the squirrel on the stock was what caught my eye and attention. I can still remember coming home from school and grabbing that old rifle and headin to hills out back of the house. Many a squirrel and rabbit made their way to the kitchen by way of that old rifle. $120.00 and it was mine all mine........again. Picked up a cheap scope for $20, not got it mounted yet. Ammo was plentiful, any cal. They had a bunch of them 1200 to 2000 dollar deals too, not really in the market for that just yet. Not that I didn't want every single gun there but I was on a mission to find a good 22 rifle. Not got to shoot it yet, will here in just a bit though you can bet on that.
Take lookie and what else I found. Gas mask, brand new, in the bag with all the original accessories !!! $10 fricken bucks !!! got 4 of them babies since Amazon back ordered the ones I had on order. Hell man, the bags worth 10 bucks! These items are all brand new never used.
I know what you're thinking, man I wish I had one of those masks too!! Well, Ol Bullseye picked one up for you too. Going to give one away to some lucky reader on the first of June. Yep, gonna have a giveaway just for my readers, ya know, cause I love you guys and gals so much. I'll be working on a post with all the details and will put it up tonight. Congrats on the goodies! I like my Marlin 60....
Same here Mayberry. Got my Marlin 60 at a pawnshop for $50 6 years ago. I haven't shot it in a while but Its a good un. I got a 4x scope mounted on mine..
Marlin 60s are good 22s. I've owned a couple and can't say as I had any trouble with them. I'm using a Marlin today tho it ain't a 60.

Glad you found an "old friend", Bullseye! Makes for a good day, doesn't it?!
Happy squirrel-stew hunting!!!
Those model 60's are the old reliable of the .22 world. Lots of them are floating around that have just been going bang, cycle, feed, bang, repeat for years.
...gotta love that 'ol' Marlin...i got mine in 1977,have since gave it to my daughter and got me a new one in 92...both have went crack every time i put my booger hook on the bang switch, they're second only to my nylon 66...
...i like the new look(maybe not so new but i've been 'lost' awhile)
Nice finds! The gun shows out here in California aren't that good anymore because of all the damn laws.
Too bad.
I have the same rifle. Great shooter and reliable. The masks were a score too. Great idea to share with readers. Tried to find your blog before with no luck, but now that I know where it is I will be back for sure.
