A Homemade Fallout Meter, the KFM

Yep, you can make your own with readily available items you may already have. If you are sitting on an extra grand or so this won't be of much interest to you, if your not, follow this link. I love do it yourself preps.
This would be a pretty cool rainy day prep project.

Go for the plan of threes - have a nuke alert monitor on your key chain, have a calibrated CDV-715 monitor for your shelter, and have the plans and parts needed to make an expedient KFM meter. Of course, I'm a lot closer to Washington DC so nuclear survival and civil defense is a requirement...
