My Baby Girl is Sick

My baby girl is sick, stomach virus. I would really appreciate any and all prayers for her. I feel so helpless right now. Fever and throwing up everywhere. She is drinking juice and eating crackers and chips. She is keeping them down pretty good, thank God. She is 3 years old and there is nothing Daddy can do. It's killing me too, I just want to take it all away. Thank you for your prayers, we need them.

Bullseye...OUT !!!

"LORD, protect and cherish this little one in her hours of need. Take from me and her father as you will in exchange for her safety and well being. YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IN HEAVEN. AMEN"!
Crackers and juice are good, bro.

I'm praying for you and yours. Just a thought... the juice may be too acidic for her little tummy right now. You don't want her to get dehydrated (very dangerous) so try feeding her ice chips instead. You can pick up Pedialyte at the store or make your own as follows:

1 Quart filtered water
5-8 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp table salt

This works GREAT!! Hope this helps!

WOW !!! You guys and gals are the best a poor old boy could ever ask for. Just when I felt so alone and helpless I come here to find that you have been right here with thru it all. Your friendship and compassion humbles me. I love you all and thank you for your prayers. She is asleep now and resting well, thanks to your prayers. She is feeling some better now and I know a good nights sleep and your prayers will make all the difference. Thank you all. You are the BEST !!

Hey Bullseye - sorry to hear about your girl...when my boy was ill last winter we did cold washcloths on the forehead, those Pedialyte freezer pops (which he kept asking for even after he was better), liquid children's Tylenol, and lots of cuddling...oh and the movie CARS about 10 times...with a few WALL-E's thrown in for good measure :)

Hope your girl feels better!

My thoughts and prayers are with you Bullseye! Your little one will get better. You are doing one of the most important things a father can do by being there for her during her illness. Best wishes to the little one for a speedy recovery!

so sorry to hear, as a parent it is so very hard to feel helpless.
I will offer what I do for this type of illness. I take Kefir whey. Don't know if you're into health nut things, but I think you can get a packaged culture thru the web or real kefir grains thru someone who has them. You make kefir and then let it ferment a little longer until it separates into curds and whey. It has stopped this type of illness in its tracks with me. Just a half teaspoon if you are having trouble to start. Repeat as often as you can. You might want to reserch it for the next time.
Praying for her and you,
HUP

My thoughts are with you. I know how scary it is when one of my boys gets that sick. You can feel just as ill from worry. Melanie's recipe is a good one, we use it around here.

My family and I will include you and your baby girl in our prayers. I'm no medical professional, but having children helps one to immediately learn what is practical and what is theoretical 'fluff'.

Sleep (for recovery), liquids (rehydration, to flush out toxins) and dry crackers (to sop up the little nasties in her stomach). Additionally, keep her cool (combat fever) and away from oils and grease. But check your doctor, just to be sure.

Anonymous Melanie also gave good advice.

Keep praying. It works wonders.

Grated green apple let brown is excellent for young ones with tummy upsets. Keep the fluids up (ice blocks are great with kids)and keep any food simple and bland. AND get some acidophylus tablets, they will protect the natural lining of the tummy and keep the healthy flora going...all natural and worked a treat on my family for 20 years! The wee one is in my prayers:)

Done said a prayer for your little baby girl.

The suggestion of pedialite is an excellent one. Ya might see if the little darling could hold down some rice too.

Dear Bullseye, Homeopathic medicine works and it could help your child if everything else fails. Colloidal silver taken at 400-500 ppm (parts per million) kills viruses and bacterias and it won't hurt you in any way nor will it hurt children, either. You ought to give it a try or look in a health food store to see what they have, talk to the owner of the store or do some research at sites which promote natural herbal medicine. She's in my heart and God's too, Bullseye. Hang in there.
