Pecker Heads !!

Make that 6 pecker heads. Got them at Tractor Supply today for $1.90 each. These are what you call straight run, not sure if you are getting roosters or hens, with my luck they are probably all roosters. Anyway, here's the 6 pecker heads.

This is Bullseye...OUT !!!

Hey, Bulls, for a buck ninety, all roosters is still mighty fine frying price!!!

LOL @ Mayberry! I can't WAIT to meet this kindred goober in G. this weekend!

And will commence persistent stalking of H.w. as soon as I depart here...

Cool chikkens, may-un! Hope there's a hen or three there...

Aww...they are so cute, they remind me of the little Rhode Island Reds my Dad brought home when I was little. :)

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that you'll end up having 2 roosters and 4 hens.

Jennifer, glad you got a laugh out of my little pecker heads. LOL I'll be over to your farm to take a look. Thanks for the visit.

Mayberry, I've heard a lot of that cheep cheep cheep to brother. They are a vocal little bunch for sure. LOL

Cygnus, that is a good price for fryers, never thought about it like that man. Thanks. You need to get a few chickens man, they are fun to watch.

Felinae, Very good, they are all Rhode Island reds, good eye on ya there cat lady. I hope your prediction is right, that would be great. Thank you so much for coming over to visit.

Uncle Jim, I'm sure something to eat will come out of this in the long run. Eggs or chicken either way will be fine. haha!! And a cuup of coffee for you too my friend. Thanks.

Glad to see you've got some birds. We've got 6 adult White Leghorns, 6 White Leghorn chicks (probably straight run, they were the colored "Easter" chicks), 6 Rhode Island Red straight run chicks (from Tractor Supply) and 6 straight run Bantam chicks (also from Tractor Supply). I've also got 30 fertilized eggs from random mixed chicks in an incubator and I've got Black Austrolorps on order.

We've got chickens!!

Have you got a pen or cage for them when they are grown? I like a cage because it keeps the eggs where I can find them and it keeps critters from getting the birds.

Bitmap, you sure got Chickens brother, and plenty of them. Good for you.

Yes I have a chicken coop, got 7 layers already. Just was at Tractor Supply and seen the chicks and thought maybe get a few more. I really enjoy watching chickens, they are good entertainment for me. Thanks for the comments, always good to hear from you.

soldierman, that was a great price on the chicks. Man, you guys are gonna have all kinds of birds at the farm. I would love to try some turkeys sometime later. My ducks hatched out 11 baby ducks the other day here so we got lots of babies here. Good luck with the birds and keep us updated. Thanks for coming over buddy, good to have ya.
